Conceptual unity of the müllerian tumor group. A histologic study

Relationships between various tumors, epithelial and stromal, derived from primary and secondary müllerian tissues, are explored. A series of 22 mixed müllerian tumors and carcinosarcomas is examined with a consideration of the place of these lesions in general tumor nosology. The central role of the mixed müllerian tumor in the müllerioproliferative disorders is discussed and a schematic outline of its relationships to other müllerian tumors and to cancer in general is proposed.
