Zusammenfassung:Five cases of central serous retinopathy have been discussed in otherwise healthy young men. The fundus picture in at least four of these has been almost identical. It is suggested that Rift Valley fever apparently is a cause of central serous retinopathy and it may also be a cause of a retinal detachment. The prognosis of this type of case may not be as good as is generally stated.
