Zusammenfassung:Hatching of Dicrocoelium lanceolatum eggs is an active process stimulated by physico-chemical factors of the host intestine. The hatching stimulus was simulated in vitro, the pH and reducing conditions being found to provide the essential components. Carbon doxide affected, but did not stimulate, hatching. The hatching response appeared to be similar to that of Fasciola hepatica eggs.
