description SUMMARYThis study tested the effectiveness of a programmed instruction sequence, “The Management Improvement Program” in increasing the human relations skills of nurses. Evaluative data included scores collected on the Clinical Awareness Scale, the Group Perception Inventory and the Barrett-Lennard Relationship Inventory before and after all subjects had completed the MIP. The results indicated that the Management Improvement Program had a significant impact on the human relations skill of the nurses participating in this project. Furthermore, the MIP assisted these nurses with their roles as team members and team leaders.
