Zusammenfassung:SUMMARYThis study tested the effectiveness of a programmed instruction sequence, “The Management Improvement Program” in increasing the human relations skills of nurses. Subjects were 40 registered nurse students enrolled in a course in “Coordinated Nursing Care” at the Ohio State University. Evaluative data included scores collected on the Clinical Awareness Scale, the Group Perception Inventory and the Barrett-Lennard Relationship Inventory before and after all subjects had completed the MIP. The results indicated that the Management Improvement Program had a significant impact on the human relations skill of the nurses participating in this project. Furthermore, the MIP assisted these nurses with their roles as team members and team leaders.
