Zusammenfassung:Raised levels of an α 2-globulin have been observed in the serum of patients undergoing renal graft rejection. The persistence of raised levels tendered an unfavourable prognosis for the graft while normal levels indicated that a homograft reaction was unlikely. Initial analysis of this protein seems to distinguish it from several others associated with the " acute-phase " serum reaction.
