Zusammenfassung: | A new granule-containing nerve cell has been found in the inferior mesenteric ganglion of the rabbit. The cell is significantly smaller than the majority of the nerve cells in the ganglion and is characterized by an abundance of extremely dense granules. The granules are clearly different in their ultrastructure from those of the larger ganglion cells and are reminiscent of certain chromaffin granules. The cells occur in small groups, each group being surrounded by a common sheath of satellite cells. In several cases, cell processes have been found to leave the granule-containing cells. |
