Zusammenfassung: | This paper describes a technique evolved for angioplacentography in 61 patients requiring amniocentesis and in 43 patients with antepartum haemorrhage.
The placentography technique consists of a single lateral radiograph exposed 2 seconds after 40 ml. of contrast medium has been injected through an aortic catheter placed 23 cm. above the inguinal ligament. The external cervical os is outlined by barium.
It is concluded that the modified technique is a safe, simple and reliable way of demonstrating the placental site and that it should prove to be valuable in the diagnosis of minor degrees of placenta praevia. |
