Zusammenfassung:Bull frog adrenals metabolize 11-dehydrocorticosterone (21-hydroxypregn-4-ene-3, 11,20-trione) to several polar end products in vitro ; these do not include aldosterone (11β,21-dihydroxypregn-4-ene-3, 20-dione-18-al) or 18-hydroxy-11-dehydrocorticosterone (18,21-dihydroxypregn-4-ene-3, 11,20-trione). One major metabolite was tentatively characterized as tetrahydro-11-dehydrocorticosterone (3α,21-dihydroxy-5β-pregnane-11,20 dione).
