Zusammenfassung: | Temperatures were recorded within polyacrylamide columns before and during disc electrophoresis according to the principles of Ornstein and Davis and Dietz and Lubrano. In general, higher temperatures were found using the Ornstein and Davis method, in which temperatures of 42° and 44°C were recorded in sample gel and stacking gel, respectively, unless a special cooling system was used. In the separating gel, the rise in temperature was most pronounced in the cathodal part and a temperature gradient in this part of the column was demonstrated.
The H/M ratio of lactate dehydrogenase isoenzymes of platelets and muscular tissue was not significantly changed by the higher temperatures using the actual experimental conditions. |
