Zusammenfassung:The development of nuclear power dictates higher requirements for mass-spectrometric instruments. The MTI-350G specialized mass-spectrometric system for isotopic analysis of uranium in the gas phase meets these requirements. The design was developed as part of the concept adopted for building instruments using a universal base analytical mass-spectrometric part taking account of the modern scientific and technical trends in instrument building. Two experimental models of MTI-350G were built, set up, and passed government acceptance tests. The instrument has been certified by the Government Committee of the Russian Federation on Standardization, Metrology, and Certification. A small series of these instruments for the separation enterprises of the Ministry of Atomic Energy is now in production. The MTI-350G modern instrument is clearly better with respect to certain basic analytical parameters and cost than the foreign analogs.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
