Differences of Cu Uptake and Acid Phosphatase Activities of Two Elsholtzia haichowensis Sun Populations

Differences of copper (Cu) uptake and acid phosphatase activities of two Elsholtzia haichowensis Sun populations were investigated. Two-way ANOVA was performed to test the significant differences for population and Cu treatments. The copper content in roots of the two populations increased with increasing copper concentration in the solution. But the increase of Cu concentrations was significantly different between the two populations. The increase in copper content in roots of HA population was markedly higher than in roots of TL population with the prolongation of Cu treatment time. After Cu treatment for 7 days, malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration in HA population sharply increased with the increase of Cu concentration in solution. MDA concentration in roots was higher in HA population than in TL population.
