Zusammenfassung:Modifications are described for the Technicon N 24A method 1 for the analysis of serum cholesterol by the AutoAnalyser. The precision is thereby improved so that over a period of about 6 months the coefficient of variation was 1.75% (control serum concentration 200 mg/100 ml, 1 SD = 3.5). The use of preparative thin-layer chromatography allows for the separate determination of free and ester fractions when required.
