Phospholipids of red cells and blood plasma in adults, newborn infants, and patients with Rh erythroblastosis

The concentration of total and individual phospholipids was determined in erythrocytes and plasma of adults, neonates, and newborn infants with Rh erythroblastosis. After extraction the phospholipids were separated by one-dimensional, thin layer chromatography into six fractions: phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine, lysophosphatidylcholine, sphingomyelin, and nonidentified phospholipids.
