Zusammenfassung: | Local application of amitone (a cholinesterase inhibitor) in the septum pellucidum caused an increased aggressiveness and hyper-reactivity, and in some cases muricide in the rat. This increased reactivity was depressed by atropine. Amitone application to the amygdala can also lead to increased reactivity, and atropine had a depressant effect. Septal lesion performed previously did not change the increased reactivity to any great extent provided the cholinesterase inhibitor was applied locally to the baso-lateral part of the amygdala. |
