Zusammenfassung:Five cases of congenital fibrosarcoma of somatic soft tissues are reported, with emphasis on clinical histories and pathologic findings. A study of acceptable cases previously reported in the medical literature indicates that congenital fibrosarcomas are rare aggressive tumors with a tendency to local recurrence. Since distant metastases are unlikely, wide local excision should be attempted before radical or mutilating surgical procedures are undertaken.
