Zusammenfassung: | A method of measuring facility of outflow and aqueous formation using constant pressure perfusion is described. Values obtained in normal Cynomolgus monkey eyes corresponded well with previous reports. Pilocarpine was found to cause a large increase in facility but also to cause a rise in episcleral venous pressure and an increase in aqueous production. Atropine had no detectable effect on the facility of outflow. Trabeculotomy in four eyes had little effect on facility of outflow, and following pilocarpine these eyes showed a similar increase in facility to that in normal eyes. The results are discussed in relation to the site of resistance to aqueous outflow in the monkey eye. |
