Zusammenfassung: | A simple low cost programmer is available for attachment to freeze chambers or other cooling devices. This may be preset for a whole series of experiments which are designed to measure the importance of any variable as it relates to ultimate survival in the post-thaw interval. Any set of cooling rates between any chosen temperatures is possible, the minima and the maxima depending not on the programmer, but on the size of the chamber and the access of nitrogen or current to it. Experiments concerned with the effect of rates of cooling on any type of living structure are also possible by simple variation of any part of the four-section control mechanism.
In the hands of any competent technical assistant, mastery of the instrument is possible in 1 or 2 days. |
