Zusammenfassung: | Selective ovarian angiography has been demonstrated to be a useful refinement in defining the type and location of various forms of trophoblastic disease. Of greatest significance is the enhanced ability of the method to differentiate malignant trophoblastic disease from the various benign forms when tumor tissue is inaccessible. Ovarian angiography was performed on 3 patients who had varying forms of trophoblastic disease. Because of the ease with which it is performed, this procedure is recommended in all cases of trophoblastic disease to complete the study of the vasculature of the uterus and pelvis as well as to define the location of obscure foci of disease. |
