Zusammenfassung:A procedure for the bulk isolation of integument from late third larval instar Drosophila melanogaster is described. The electrophoretic patterns obtained when a general protein stain is used indicate that the bulk isolated integument is comparable to dissected integument and differs from whole larvae. Electrophoretic enzyme patterns are presented and their significance discussed.
