Autoradiographs of sections of flukes of Schistosoma haematobium incubated in vivo with (1- 14C) glucose showed a concentration of activity associated with the peripheral tissues. 2. 2. No activity was detected associated with the gut. 3. 3. p-Chloromercuribenzoic acid inhibited and sodium arsenate partially inhibited the uptake of the glucose. 4. 4. The role of the cuticle as an absorptive organ is discussed.
