Zusammenfassung:	After in vitro incubation of a nuclear preparation from Ehrlich ascites tumor with lysine- 14C under optimal conditions, labeled histones were isolated from the DNA-histone complex. By a combination of extraction and chromatographic procedures 15 different fractions were isolated. These fractions showed specific radioactivities ranging between 100 and 500 dpm per micromole of lysine. Starch-gel electrophoretic separation of each fraction showed that they were all mixtures composed of several components.
