Zusammenfassung: | Some individualization was used in the treatment of 151 patients with invasive squamous carcinoma of the vulva. These patients were studied for the success and safety when inguinal lymphadenectomy is omitted for patients with favorable lesion and increased operative risk. Of special interest were the results of iliac lymphadenectomy added to the more standard treatment of radical vulvectomy and inguinal lymphadenectomy for patients with advanced lesions. The recent international staging adopted by FIGO in 1967 was applied to these patients retrospectively to determine the clinical applicability and accuracy in reflecting prognosis. |
