Zusammenfassung:This is a report of a new treatment for syncopal attacks due to carotid sinus hypersensitivity. The successful treatment with a demand pacemaker using a transvenous electrode catheter is described. This case demonstrates that demand pacing appears to be the treatment of choice for this condition. The medical, surgical, and roentgenologic treatments are also discussed.
