Zusammenfassung: | A procedure has been developed for the quantitative analysis of small amounts of ethanol in the vapor phase which is collected on anhydrous magnesium perchlorate. The analysis employs a gas liquid chromatography technique utilizing a headspace sample and an internal standard.
Experience data using breath alcohol “Simulators” and the “D.P.C.” sampling device indicate that the precision of the procedure is equal to currently accepted quantitative breath alcohol testing techniques. The method will enable the use of breath tests in areas where a qualified “Breathalyzer” operator is not available. |
