Zusammenfassung:A procedure for assay of 5-hydroxytryptamine and its metabolites—5-hy-droxyindole-3-acetic acid, 5-hydroxyindole-3-carboxylic acid, 5-hydroxytryptophol and 5-hydroxyindole-3-aldehyde—after separation by column chromatography, followed by spectrofluorometric determination, was elaborated. The same method has proved to be applicable also to tryptamine and its metabolites, as well as to 5-methoxytryptamine and its metabolites.
