Lactate Dehydrogenase Isoenzymes in Malignant Tissues

PREVIOUS reports from this laboratory have shown that the electrophoretically fast lactate dehydrogenase isoenzymes, LD 1 and LD 2 , of human and animal tissues exhibit high activity with 3.3 mM 2-oxobutyrate as substrate relative to that with 0.7 mM pyruvate 1,2 .
