Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:A new modification of the shortest peroxidase stain time (SPST) method for blood leukocytes, originally studied by Suzuki, based on the Sato-Sekiya's stain, was described. This method can be used for a quantitative determination of the peroxidase activity of leukocytes. The rationale of the method was demonstrated. The mean cellular peroxidase content (MCP) of myelogenous leukocytes of ten hospitalized patients estimated by the present SPST method, was equivalent, in average, to (15.29±3.71)×10-8γ of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) in eosinophils, (8.18±4.08)×10-8γ of HRP in neutrophils and (4.97±2.72)×10-8γ of HRP in monocytes, respectively.
