Zusammenfassung:This comparative analysis covering an 80-year period demonstrated a sharp decrease of perinatal mortality op to 1933 in both ward and private patients. The iNC.reased number of cesarean sections during the past 20 years was not accompanied by a comparable drop in perinatal mortality. Birth trauma disappeared, asphyxia diminished, and prematurity rose as causes of such mortality.
