Zusammenfassung:The operation of jejunal interposition reconstruction after total gastrectomy in dogs was compared with more standard end-to-side esophagojejunostomy and Roux-en-Y procedures. Weight loss; digestive impairment; microcytic, hypochromic anemia; and poor iron absorption were found in all animals. No significant advantage in any measured parameter could be demonstrated for jejunal interposition reconstruction over the other procedures investigated.
