Zusammenfassung:Radical fasciectomy was performed on sixty-three hands involved by Dupuytren's contracture, thirty with and thirty-three without hypotensive anesthesia. Of those with ancillary hypotension, none had hematomas, three had minor skin sloughs, nine had edema, and four had some recalcitrant stiffness. Of those without hypotensive anesthesia, three had hematoma, seven had minor skin slough, eleven had edema, and three had recalcitrant stiffness. All eventually had good long-term results. It would appear that hypotensive anesthesia may be useful in surgical treatment of Dupuytren's contracture.
