Office records are useful

To the Editor: Long and Rogers (Pediatrics 56:295, August 1975) report important data that indicate an imperfect correlation between performance and recording by pediatric practitioners of procedures necessary for adequate management of suspected streptococcal pharyngitis. The authors conclude that office records have limited value for evaluation of health care. However, although this conclusion seems valid for the records studied, at least for suspected streptococcal pharyngitis, two other conclusions supported by the data may be more
