Zusammenfassung: | Two successful cases of femorofemoral bypass are reported. Patency of the grafts was ascertained in both instances after a follow-up study of thirty-three months in the first patient and nine months in the second patient. Results in the first patient represent the longest known patency of a synthetic graft after its insertion as a cross-over bypass. Considering the lasting improvement that can be derived in cases in which reconstructive surgery is considered impossible or inadvisable, recommendation is made for a wider application of this procedure under carefully selected circumstances. |
