The cell type mediating hyperacute rejection of allogeneic mouse skin grafts

Allogeneic murine skin grafts can be rejected hyperacutely, as white or “red” grafts, by a cell-mediated mechanism. The hyperacute rejection is transferable by sensitized, nylon adherent, θ-bearing lymph node cells draining skin graft sites.
