Zusammenfassung: | d-Amphetamine, methylphenidate and cocaine, which are postulated to release or block the reuptake of released dopamine at nerve terminals in the brain, produced only slight reductions in the serum concentrations of prolactin in normal male rats or in rats in which the prolactin concentrations were elevated by pretreatment with α-methyltyrosine. These results suggest that indirect dopaminergic drugs, such as d-amphetamine, do not facilitate the release of dopamine from the terminals of tuberoinfundibular neurons in the same way as they do at the terminals of other dopaminergic neurons in the brain. |
