Zusammenfassung:SUMMARY The gross morphologic and histologic features of the mitral valves in 11 dogs in which orthotopic homotransplantation of mitral valves were carried out were studied at eight time intervals of 10 days to 1 year after operation. The results indicate that slow replacement of the grafted tissues occurred in such a manner that function of the graft could be maintained.
