Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1.1. The incidence of uterine inversion is approximately 1:20,000.2.2. The mechanics of the production of this accident involve the sudden emptying of the previously distended uterine cavity, gradual thinning of the uterine wall, and dilation of the cervix.3.3. Contributing factors include the mismanaged third stage of labor and traction on the cord or membrane while delivering the placenta.4.4. Therapy should first combat shock and then institute replacement manually if possible, otherwise, by one of the several surgical approaches.
