Experimental frontal sinus obliteration: Long-term results following removal of the mucous membrane lining

In this long‐term experimental investigation, the ultimate fate of the canine frontal sinus cavity was studied after the mucous membrane lining was removed. The frontal sinus cavity was completely obliterated with dense spongy bone if epithelial regeneration did not occur.
