Zusammenfassung:A professionally led multifamily psychoeducation program for families with a schizophrenic member was designed according to participating families' reported concerns. The families provided information on their problems, needs, coping, and requirements from the program. They expressed more concern about "negative" symptoms of schizophrenia (e.g., social withdrawal) than about positive ones (e.g., hallucinations). Participants' overall positive response to the program is discussed in terms of further development of a multifamily psychoeducation model with family-generated content.
