Zusammenfassung:Studies were carried out on the permeation rate of butamben through a dimethicone membrane. Under conditions of “aqueous diffusion layer control,” the permeation rate was accurately described by a mathematical model based on convective diffusion theory. In accordance with the model, the rate of permeation from a saturated donor phase was shown to be equal to the rate of dissolution from a pure solid.
