Zusammenfassung:Stump-tailed macaque virus, a newly recognized papovavirus of the SV40 polyoma subgroup, was demonstrated in kidney cultures from each of five stump-tailed macaque fetuses in the second half of gestation and from six adult stump-tailed macaques. Such regular presence of virus in the fetus is an unusual feature for a papovavirus.
