Thyroglobulin production by thyroid cancers

We have demonstrated that 95% of the differentiated forms of thyroid carcinoma produce thyroglobulin; most of this thyroglobulin appears to be of the 19S variety. The significance of this finding in terms of detection and treatment of recurrent thyroid cancer is discussed.
