Zusammenfassung:An 84-item questionnaire was mailed to all Australian fellows and members of the Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (May, 1973 listing). The questionnaire obtained background data, therapeutic school, and 5-point ratings on therapeutic techniques, goals of psychotherapy, helpfulness of various therapist attributes, and opinions on some theoretical issues from a sample of 275 respondents. Similar studies are underway in Great Britain and the United States, and comparisons among the three samples will be done at a later date. Data from these studies will also be used as a base line for study of changes in subsequent years.
