Zusammenfassung:A combination unit consisting of a Gilford model 2000 multiple sample absorbance recorder, a Beckman DU monochromator with thermostated chamber, and a Technicon large sampler and proportioning pump is described. The unit is capable of assaying a large number of enzyme rates completely automatically using known spectrophotometric methods or slight modifications thereof. The automated assays of histidase, threonine dehydrase, and glucokinase-hexokinase, employing the unit, are described in detail.
