Zusammenfassung: | The clinical and pathologic features of benign lymphoepithelial lesions of the salivary gland in ten patients seen at the University of Minnesota Hospitals are reviewed. Because of its benign chronic course, conservative management of this condition is recommended. Six of ten patients in this series manifested several of the features characteristic of Sjögren's syndrome. A benign lymphoepithelial lesion of the salivary glands is not considered to be a distinct clinical entity, but rather a manifestation of a systemic disorder designated as Sjögren's syndrome. |
