Zusammenfassung:IT has been established that the hypothalamus controls the secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) of the adenohypophysis through a luteinizing hormone releasing factor (LH–RF) 1,2 . This substance occurs only in the stalk median eminence of the hypothalamus 3,4 and, according to the literature, not in other brain tissue. Johnson 5 has shown that the whole brain, the hypothalamus excluded, also contains a substance displaying characteristics proper to LH–RF.
