Zusammenfassung: | A study of a population of fieldmice Apodemus sylvaticus and bank voles Clethrionomys glareolus was undertaken using trap, mark-recapture methods in mixed woodland from November 1973 to October 1974. The population density of fieldmice was low. This may have been due to a large stand of conifers in the area which probably provided relatively little food. The mice showed changes in their relative abundance in different levels of cover which cannot readily be explained. Apart from this the results are comparable with those from similar studies in Britain. The causes of deaths in the traps are discussed. |
