Zusammenfassung:In the last two decades new diseases and tumors have been described and it is now recognized that the same disease may be represented by different pathologic patterns. New biologic principles have helped to explain the pathogenesis of disease and new methods, such as immunofluorescence, ultrastructure, and biochemistry, are now available to the dermatopathologist who must use them in addition to cytology, dark-field and polarizing microscopy, and histochemistry.
