The oxygen capacity of fetal hemoglobin

The oxygen capacity of fetal blood has been noted to be the same as that of the blood of the human adult. Statistical considerations allow the assumption that the oxygen capacity of fetal hemoglobin is the same as that of the adult hemoglobin as defined by resistance to alkaline denaturation.
