Zusammenfassung: | 2967 specimens of endometrial biopsy or curettings were examined for tuberculous infection by histological methods, guinea pig inoculation and by culture. Forty-eight of the specimens were found to be positive by one or more of the methods. Histological examinination detected 67%, guinea pig inoculation 63%, and culture 54%.
It is concluded that a satisfactory procedure for the diagnosis of tuberculous endometritis must include all three methods, histological exanination, guinea pig inoculation and cultivation. |
